The CWE
The Connection Wisdom & Excellence (CWE) Challenge provides youth, parents, and educators with valuable insights while evaluating the logic and creative thinking of gifted children. Through topics ranging from bullying and self-identity to peer pressure and first relationships, Junior Bright Scholars are encouraged to seek guidance from trusted adults while developing new strengths, perspectives, and strategies.

After years of piloting the CWE with various age groups in public and afterschool programs, we found that scholars ages 9–13 are among our most engaged participants. At this stage, young scholars are especially receptive to guidance from both parents and teachers as they explore and define new choices.
